Three completions in four attempts for 24 yards. One interception. One lost fumble. Four sacks for minus-32 yards.

After four unproductive series, Stanzi gave way to Brady Quinn, who had played behind starter Matt Cassel a week ago against Arizona.

“It was tough sledding out there,” Stanzi said. “That’s part of the process sometimes. You have to fight through those things.”

It didn’t start well. On the second play of the third quarter, Stanzi’s first pass was punched out of intended receiver Terrance Copper’s grasp by Rams rookie cornerback Trumaine Johnson and into the waiting arms of rookie defensive tackle Matthew Conrath, who returned it to the Chiefs 18.

“That was my fault,” Stanzi said. “I threw it into some tight coverage. It makes it tough for the receiver. I could have gone somewhere else with the ball on that one.”

“I’ve to get rid of the ball,” Stanzi said. “You can’t put that kind of pressure on the offensive line to hold up for that amount of time. I’ve got to be able to get the ball out of my hands and move the chains.”

yes. and stanzi was bad, bad, bad. that's certainly not the way to go about impressing the coaching staff. just keep collecting those checks kid and then go into coaching when you're done.

I know he didn't play great, but with the OL that was in the game at that point, he is lucky he didn't get hurt.

The Chiefs second string O-line is awful. Stanzi needs to hit the weights and get a haircut because he's starting to look like a chick. Any time a Rams front seven guy got their hands on him, they tossed him around like a rag doll
