I think that is more of a "My dad is so excited and proud of me for getting this offer. I've never seen him this happy!" and not "Man this place is not that great". If you look at the rest of his tweets he seems pretty jazzed in all of them to get the offer

Another issue is that the father probably knows that by getting attention from Iowa ... the implication is that other big offers could very well end up being forthcoming too.
