Re: Iowa Commit Reports--Week 3

Maurice Fleming, ATH, was injured last week and missed tonight’s game for Curie (Chicago, IL). His production was missed but the Condors were able to pull out the 7-2 win over Gary (IN) West Side.

Fun fact: the full name of Fleming's high school is Marie Sklodowska Curie Metro High School. It is named after the renowned Polish-French scientist. And yes, her entire name (including maiden name) appears on the side of the building, an ode to the large Polish population in Chicago.

Drew Ott, DE, and Giltner (NE) had the night off with a bye week. Ott will be back in action next week as Giltner takes on Palmer in an 8-man contest.

Update here:
Fleming said on Twitter that he had an MRI on his knee today. He didn't say how it went or what his status is for the next few weeks.

Here's a Facebook photo album of the game (I think you'll have to be logged in to Facebook to see it):

So I was watching the video of this game, and Johnson looks pretty solid. He isn't the fastest guy in the open field, but at 300 pounds, I wouldn't expect him to be. What he is is extremely strong. He gave great push and at the 29:00 mark in the video, there's a play where he completely dominates his man and pushes him and the QB over with one push. If he can work on his quickness and maintain a "good" 300 pounds, he could be a special player in a couple years.
