Re: Iowa v. Wisconsin

Wisconsin is doing what Iowa failed to do last season. That is the only difference and it sucks because Iowa had the talent last year to back up the Orange Bowl season with another great one.

Wisky is simply using the talent they have and fulfilling expectations following the Rose Bowl season.

This is my point. Iowa lost some really good players from the 2009 team, but Wisky lost some really good ones last year too. They were able to fill the void with recruits, Iowa couldn't do that as well as Wisconsin is. (I know about injuries, I get it. Be interesting to see what would happen to Wisky if they get hit with injuries)

Wisconsin didn't travel to Arizone to face a ranked team did they?

Wisconsin is also going to have the luxery of not having to face a good OSU team as well as not playing Iowa in the regular season.

Point is, Iowa's SOS last year was light years ahead of where Wisconsins will be. Last years Iowa team would be 5-0 against this schedule as well.

That Wisconsin secondary isn't that great but when you play teams that can't throw the ball it really doesn't matter.

Agree.

And let's no overlook the impact of the fake punt. If BB punts the ball away or we stop them, I think you are looking at two completely different outcomes for both teams the rest of the year. That was a crushing loss for us and having a group of seniors that had done everything other than winning a BT title I think it took a lot of wind out of their sails.

That's pretty easy to see how we played the rest of the year in Big Games vs. Non big games.

We had our chance last year and it didn't happen. Simple as that. Special teams hurt early and the Adam Robinson concussion completely derailed our offense and killed our momentum. Last year was suppose to be our year.

Also, do you think if he went to Iowa last year we have any more success?
Wiscy's D is FAR from being really good.....

Good post.

Iowa has done very well against Becky head to head. Two years ago, they came from behind at Cramp Randall and won. Iowa won a BCS bowl a couple of years ago. All is not lost.

The real disappointment for Iowa, of course, was last year. 3 out of 4 D linemen are in the NFL now. I believe the Hawks had 7 guys drafted. They had leads against Becky, OSU, etc, etc...and lost those games. Last year was Iowa's "year" at least for a little while.

Wisky has had great luck this year. They were going to be decent but not great prior to Wilson's arrival. Now, they're in the hunt for all the marbles (the easy schedule doesn't hurt). It also doesn't hurt that fOSU has imploded.

We'll see, though. The season ain't over yet.

Exactly!

People seem to forget that Iowa had Wisky beat last year. That season wasn't the same after that loss.

Re: Iowa v. Wisconsin

Not capitalizing on the interception by greenwood was the worst thing that happened that day,we had them dead to rights after that play and we didn't finish them right there. Also leaving 4 points off the scoreboard on special teams was crucial....that game still makes me sick to my stomach.
I'd like my shot at them to avenge our loss from last year and knock them out of the bcs conversation.
