I remember Sam Maresh, a 3 star LB from MN and I recall him being an Iowa 'lean' as reported his family liked the Hawks. In the end, the smooth talking Brewster lured him to the Gophers.

Very interesting story on his downward spiral as a Gopher and his triumphant climb back to being on the D1 football radar while playing at Iowa Western:
