I heard sometime this week, also a possible silent Iowa commitment. Anyone know the day he is supposed to be announcing he's gonna be a Hawk?

I think tomorrow and while I heard rumors of a silent committ too I am seeing a lot speculation today that he is staying home and going to Rutgers. We will see

Thanks, hope the rumor rumblings are correct. After watching him the other day, he's obviously not scared to lay some wood. Thats a great character trait for LB's.

Word right now is leaning rutgers, but Alston is going to be there for the announcement so that's a good sign.

He's only going to get bigger and stronger...I wouldn't be surprised to see a move to DE, unless he's already "brick shithouse" strong already and only gets to 255 or so.

Your right didn't realize he is listed at 6'2'' 245lbs. Didn't look that big, but damn I guess you would be right.

and depending upon which site he is anywhere from 235-245 lbs
but i have a question for the massive weight gain people
why does he have to put 40-50 lbs on, when we have 290 to 300 lb guys coming in
same with Derby " oh damn we need to put 40 lbs on him and turn him into a DE or DT"
when they are perfect for the LB spot

I'm not saying they "need to"...but guys get bigger as they mature and get stronger...it's a natural progression.

This. I don't see him as a DT, but I can see him as a solid DE if not a MLB.
