Whoa whoa whoa here. Wait a tick. I swear to God when I first looked at that link he was listed as a two star by both Rivals and the visitors rank.

no need to get your panties in a bunch
Iowa has not offered
he is a 3* on ESPN as well as scout
6'3 265 lb DT from Glenville, its not like he is a unknown from no where
sooner or later a kid from Glenville will make good, with Kaz gone and a new DL coach with a couple years with doyle he could turn out quite nicely
and the way this class is shaping i will take the 3* kids over 2* kids
as for losing Lambert doesn't hurt, but it could have helped and not just in stars
Venkus or Ott could switch to OLB as both played DE
Venckus 6'4 220 lbs or Ott at 6'4 235 one or the other could become LB'rs, my guess is Venckus to WLB
Ok, his page was just updated between when I first posted and now. He was listed as a 2* kid and his page didn't even have a pic. Now he is a 3* kid and his pic has been updated.
I know, I know, stars don't count for **** anyway but still...

as i posted in another thread from 2004 to 2009 we avg'd 11 2* recruits per year
2010 we had 5 and 2011 we had 5
this year we have 3 and counting with one being a punter
people say star's don't matter but the fact is the lack of success is tied directly to success
that is why the 3* vs 2* recruit comment
we can see the effect of the 08 class of 12 2* and 09 of 13 2* recruits
i understand the getting 2* recruit do get you a couple diamonds in the rough but to pick up a shovel full of coal and expect to turn them all into Diamonds is a stretch
