Really good class

We have Cameron Wilson, a 1,000 yard WR coming in this year and Ryan Ward, a 4* OT coming in. As well as an awesome 4* classy DL in Faith> most years this would be enough to get wild about. Thought I would talk about the positives and see if this will get 10,000 views like the negative JJ tweet posts. This is a good class!

Re: Really good class

Think they will play before their junior season? At least it won't take these young men long to learn the seven plays that KOK routinely uses. Of course they won't get much of a chance early in their careers because they will be too young and Iowa's playbook is VERY difficult to learn, too much for mere freshman. Besides there are upper classmen ahead of them; they might not be as good but they have spent their time and THAT is what KF values, kids who wait their turn. They also won't play because it is probably too risky and they might make an error...

I thin two of those classy DL won't be coming to Iowa.

Re: Really good class

There's conflicting rumors on JJ all over the place. Some are actually quite encouraging. I consider him a solid commit until I hear anything from a legitimate source. This is a great class with or without him but definitely better with him. I think we're in for much better times in IC.

Jaleel has tweeted that he loves Iowa city and his commitment is very solid. and no I don't follow high schoolers. Those are retweeted by others.

If they dont play before their junior season than maybe we are stacked and we should be talking about a nation title!?
If we have only 7 plays on offense and they cant remember them than they should go MSU... Im sure you could show them the way

Why? Maybe we should take the MSU route and negative recruit.. "Fact of life kid, that Dantonio had 1 heart attack already, he pry wont make it til your senior year"

Wait, we dont need to because we have positive things to talk about... anyone know haw many more Iowa players in the NFL than MSU players? Nebraska? I believe we are 3rd in the entire NCAA Div. 1 with the amount of players, more than everyone else in bigten but OSU right?
(and they cheat)

Re: Really good class

positive views; lets see we have 3 3* true WR, not 2* players that have to be converted.
another positive in getting 3* or 4* DL that doesn't have to have 30-40 lbs put on.
OL who no longer need massive amount of weight and 3-4 years to develope into NFL line men, we are getting the 280-300 lb LM that need 1-2 years to develope
i can't see what's wrong with that, lets face it the years of getting 11-12 2* recruits are going away, i am sorry but the proof is on the field, KF has had a staff that developes the talent, but the drawback has been the lack of ready to play, "DEPTH"!
as Hayden used to say "he would put his starters up against anybody in the country and would win" the only thing was he lacked the depth to step in right away.

Re: Really good class

we are guarnteed to have a jr rb,
Dawson will be a jr when he steps on campus
on another note Rival just updated their standings,
PSU 18 committs 3 4*, 11 3* and 4 that are eithert 2* or less and have a point total of 805
Iowa 18 committs 4 4* 11 3* and 3 2* with a point total of 765
I guess that PSU gets bonus points for their recruits

Re: Really good class

I have to agree with op as long as those that have verballed sign on the dotted line, keep there nose clean, and work hard, it could turn out to be a great class. Not sure it will make an imediate impact like we need on the DL. I would have to think they are in on some JC's right now. We definately have open scholly's with peopl leaving and such. So here is to hoping we pull off some signing day miracle's. Either way I think the future of Iowa football is good. I like the move of LeVar to dl coach, and even if it is Phil Parker, I think it will help us recruit. It sounds like Phil is a decent recruiter himself.
