Says Quanzell taking a wait-and-see attitude to see what Rutgers does with its search to replace Schiano before deciding where to go. Is Kurt Ferrets willing to hold a scholly offer or two past signing day?

Also, does Iowa practice in the mornings or afternoons? Morning practices apparently are important to Quanzell, as he wants afternoons free to go to engineering labs.

Iowa typically practices in the afternoons (I remember DJK scheduling a class that overlapped into practice time his senior year).

I'll certainly give Lambert this: if he's willing to choose based on this, much respect. That's not the kind stance you see/hear about recruits taking very often.

Iowa is still in it for Lambert. I know the negativos will say we're not, but that's simply not true. There's more to this than just practice time . . . a lot more.

I really hope you are right. Lambert has what it takes to be the next All-Everything LB at Iowa. He's a fantastic athlete that fits Iowa's schematic structure very well. It seems like the Hawks and Lambert are a perfect fit, and if the coaches can somehow convince him that that's the case, I think it will be beautiful cherry on a solid class.

The only thing that worries me is that with the contact period over now, it's kind of disappointing that the coaches weren't able to get a final in-home with QL before he decides. I hope that doesn't end up being the deciding factor.

I think all colleges practice in the afternoon. You would think it would be tough to encourage a lot of kids that morning practices are good, and that more classes tend to be in the morning and labs etc. So I don't think that will amount to much. I guess it just depends on the certain class not the actual practice scheduling. Hope he comes to Iowa, but won't hold my breath. I think he ends up staying home with Rutgers.
