Kozan was not the only OL that Iowa was recruiting, Jordan Diamond also chose Auburn..
any chance they might both want out?

They may want out (very doubtful), but put the peace pipe down if you think they are coming here.

Iowa also missed out on the starting left tackle at Alabama! Cyrus K. Anyone remember him? I watch him when Alabama is on and he is good. Shame they couldn't have gotten him.

Its funny that I already brought him up in this thread and neither of us were willing to try and spell his last name.

Sorry Casey! I am lazy and to be honest didn't read the first 2 pages.

Plus I am not wasting the time to look up his name, if anyone doesn't know who you and I were talking about, screw'em.

With the question marks on the direction of the program I'm happy that we're even top 8. I still think there's a .0008 percent chance but I thought we'd be out of the running by now.

BOBBY: Why do you have to hate what you don't understand?
HANK: I don't hate you, Bobby.
    BOBBY: I meant soccer.
HANK: Oh. Oh, yeah, I hate soccer. Yes.

Could be just keeping us in the mix because of the respect his father had for Kurt. But if we are genuinely in the running still, without having him visit already, I think we have a legit shot (if Kurt and Co. can get him to Iowa City).
Really, Rick and the offensive line knew we were going to get it done. Nothing was going to stop us. You could’ve put 24 players out on defense and we were going to somehow get it done.”-DJK-

It's the father thing. I'm sure if his dad was around even he would be telling the kid to go to a team with a shot at the BCS title.

That's nice of him to put us in his top 8. That said, not happening.

I don'tk now if I agree with that HFN, his dad said if a lot of interviews that without KF he wouldn't have had to career that he did. He loved KF and wanted his son to play for him but he didn't want to push him either way as it is his son's decision. Based on the interviews I read when he was alive, he would have pushed him to Iowa.

Not a chance we get this kid. Why come play on a .500 team at best. The word is out and has been out on KF.

If the kid wants to make the NFL the word out on KF is he is known for developing O-linemen. Plus Kirk is personal friends of this kid's family, and this kid and Kirk have a good relationship.

So if this kid only wants to play on a championship level team, then yes he isn't coming to Iowa. But we don't know that yet.
