this has got to be the most frustrating thing I have read.. Dawson, a certain posters personal whipping boy,
at the time he stepped foot on Campus, the RB's were very few and far between..
Coker who would have been a jr this year left, McCall who would have been a SO, left at the break. Iowa was down to just Canzeri. Bullock was a WR being groomed to be a slot receiver, because at that time Cotton was a little used often injured player, who didn't really show up on the Radar until he returned a kickoff for a TD.
Garmon and Malloy had not even shown up yet. Hill was still a commit to ISU. Weisman was a nobody but a 2* transfer FB from Air Force, to fill a big hole at RB, Iowa went to IWCC to fill that need in Dawson, now after getting the following RB'S, Garmon, Hill who DECOMMITED from ISU and Malloy who got into trouble with the law, which meant there was no guarentee he would even show up as he was not getting a Scholarship.
in thew spring Canzeri went down with a ACL,, Hill was hurt in fall. thisb refutes the notion that Dawson won't play is ludicrous at best. next fall Dawson and Bullock will be JR'S, Garmon and Canzeri will be SO, with Hill and Malloy being RSF its been sometime its been said we have had a JR LET ALONE 2.. Dawson was a player at a very big area of need.
and I hope that KF revcruit somebody better than the RB's we have now,, that's the whole idea isn't it,k to recruit as good or better thsan the players than the ones they already have.
who knows Dawson just might be Rodgers replacement at FB as Rodgers will be the only senior nest year,
Sokol another JUCO also fills a big need, we lose Weinke and JVB this year to graduation, leaving just Derby, Rudock and a unsigned HS kid, Derby transferred out which would have left Iowa with just Rudock, Beathard and a new HS kid at QB, this JUCO recruiting fill 2 of the biggest area on need, which makes the post of not recruiting JUCO's, for area's of need

the point is simple, it was made to ridicule people for their comments about recruiting JUCO's, when in fact Iowa recruited 6 this last spring including 3 from IWCC, if you ignore the bad spelling. it outlines exactly why both were recruited.

Dawson couldn't play this year because of his athletic scholarship. If he played he would of had to pay for this year himself.
