It's a rivalry for crying out loud. Boo away.

I have a problem with booing in two situations.

-Service Academies-You don't Boo them. It is incredibly disrespectful and also classless. (Exception for other service academies)

-An opponent in which you pay to come play there. Do you really need to Boo Western Idaho Motor and Hair Insitute? (Exception made for in state college such as UNI)

sorry, but I'm going to boo any team besides the hawks when they run out on the field...I thought that was a given. Call me classless whatever I don't care. It has nothing to do with the college kids they're putting themselves out there, they know they're going to get booed on visiting turf. What I have never and will NEVER will do is boo anyone on the Hawkeyes even if they're struggling because that's when they need the fans behind them the most. Shame on any of you (you know who you are) that were booing Stanzi in last year's Indiana game.

Let's not Boo ISU next week. I personally think adults who boo or heckle any college kids are classless, (I'll let college students slide on this because at least they are piers. I may not agree with it but I'm a little more tolerant of what other 19 year old kids do) but I think this is particularly true regarding the booing of ISU. It's not because I hold any allegience toward to school (I don't) and it's not because I'm against jabbing ISU fans in the ribs (In fact I really enjoy that). It's primarily because out of the 120 or so kids listed on their roster 50 of them are from Iowa.

Collectively they are good hardworking kids who are getting the most of thier god given ability and are fulfilling dreams by playing division I football. Look at the roster, it's full off West Des Moines and Sioux City. They have Decorah, and Marshaltown, and Vail. There's lAmes and Forrest City, Bettendorf, Wellmen, Cedar Falls, and even Parkersburg. There is Templeton (mmmm love me some Templeton Rye), Pleasant Hill, and Dyersville (home of the filed of dreams). Yes there is even one from Iowa City.

Think what you want about the school, their football program, and thier fans, but let's show a little class toward the players. Afterall, other than the logo on thier helmets, there is little difference between them and Robinson, Sash, Sandeman, Ferentz, Koeppel, Davis, Derby, or Morris....

So, you propose to not boo ISU and you make some good points to support that. Then you refer to Ames as lAmes. Kind of discount your own point there don't you?

Not at all. My point is not to boo ISU as a sign of respect to the kids who play football for ISU, many of whom are from Iowa.

I couldn't give a rat's *** about the rest of that **** *** town. Maybe you should re-read the post and pay special attention to the last line of the first paragraph.

With all due respect to the OP....I say **** that. When those guys run on the field (conveniently timed to right when Iowa runs on the field no doubt) I say boo your ******* lungs out.
