No clip but a comment on the announcers. I think they called them the Iowa Cyclones at least twice which was funny. And was it just me or were they completely rooting for ISU? Geez, I know they are Big 12 honks but I damn near had to mute it. If I heard them say how NIU was VERY good one more time I was going to puke. They may get to that point sometime during the season but clearly are not there yet.

I ask because when you get uncomfortable, you have the uncanny ability to attempt to detour a topic over to basketball. Now, if the OP was referring to announcers doing a b-ball game I could relate to what you are saying.

If you haven't heard, Iowa is the "Hawkeye" state. Even the media refers to Iowa as the Hawkeye state. That has to bite!

Pretty sure it was third quarter. My wife said, "Did they call Iowa State's colors ketchup and mustard?"

They are scanning the crowd. I think the field announcer guy is in the stands with the ISU students.

If memory serves it was during, or right after half time. The zany on the field reporter was doing a segment in the student section and he was pimping McDonalds Superfan contest. They had McD's graphics up on the screen and one of the booth guys said something like... "McDonalds and ISU have the same colors".

Dude I'm serious... LEGEND. We would errect statues of you, we would name roads on the internet superhighway for you... it would be EPIC.

And then there is you bringing up the Illini in an obvious ISU thread. Didn't actually see the broadcast I was at the game. I had some Hawk fan sitting next to me chirping about McNutt being better than any Cyclone receiver so I asked him "But can he hit a three from behind the arch with two seconds on the clock" He just looked at me and said " Are you a Gopher Fan?"
