He may have said Ohio St, the east coast accent probably threw me.
As for the rest..your numbers are consistent with my point. His inference was, the Big Ten transition was easier for them, because he "knew" many of these teams coming in...they'd been playing them. When in reality, it was a generation or more since most of that took place. (20 years for Illinois, 22 years for Wisconsin, 26 since Mich St, 41 since Purdue etc) None of these teams had even remotely the same coaching staff or look.
20+ years is a pretty big "margin of error" I love JoPa, he's an icon. But I tend to side with those that say it's time (past time perhaps) for him to retire.
