Hold on this isnt a troll thread. After around 1999 they divorced and i was seperated from that family. During that time i still followed the huskers but not as well. It wasnt because they werent winning it was that i didnt have passion to drive it. Around 2005 i meet my future wife and her family. Her family is die hard cyclone fans and let me know it every day. I told them i was a husker fan but havent followed it in years. What happened after i told them that were many many months of trash talk from them to me. I didnt get fired up because i wasnt into it that much anymore. So then i went to my first ISU vs Nebraska game at Jack Trice and thats when i saw the passion. During the McCarney years there was a different feel in IowaState. Nebraska lost that year and i got lots and lots of taunting from the stadium to the car. Even all the way home. It fueled my passion for Husker football again and i started getting into it more and more.

Since 2005 Nebraska has not lost in Ames (06, 08, 10). I will assume that this story is not made up and you met your future wife in early 2004 to allow for months and months of trash talk before your first ISU/Nebraska game in Ames. So now when somebody asks you when you met you can say early 2004 instead of around 2005. Your future wife will be so happy for you knowing that. No need to thank me, just helping a fellow man out when I can.
