Nice story. It's only a few minutes long, but he comes across as thoughtful and genuine. He may have made dumb choices, but he isn't dumb.

Wow, that interview did not fit the characterization I've heard. Seems like a really bright young man - hopefully he keeps it on the level from here on out, because he comes off as way too intelligent to head down a bad path.

I wish him the best...but I still hope Iowa crushes ISU on the court, of course.

I'm sorry, but while this may be a good start towards contrition, and he does seem plenty smart enough to know better, he doesn't get a completely clean slate in my book without laying out these "unknown factors" while he has a chance...as he had in this interview.
If these factors don't warrant sharing them with the audience, then don't even mention them. Anything less is just smoke and mirrors without truly owning your mistake.

It takes a humble man to understand this distinction. I too wish this young man well at IA ST.

Totally wasn't trying to be smarmy, just commenting on how different message board reactions differ when a respected poster posts something as opposed to someone with "Cy" in their name.
