AA's Keys

Iowa State Football: Austen Arnaud's 5 keys to victory vs. Iowa | Cyclone Fanatic

I love how a QB who's never beaten Iowa is giving his 5 keys to beating Iowa.

Maybe I should write an article about being a middle-aged black woman living in Alaska...

I laughed at this as well. He also states Iowa doesn't have a nickel package, while they don't use a lot of 5 DB's they do have a nickel package, but then again throwing what 10 INT's in 3 years against Iowa should have told me he couldn't read a D in the first place.

Re: AA's Keys

What is Tim Hasselbeck doing on ESPN talking about NFL QB's? He sucked in the NFL and all the guys are 10X more talented than him.

What is Herm Edwards doing there as well? He was a terrible NFL coach. He shouldn't be talking about other teams and what they should be doing.

See there is the difference, those guys actually experienced something they are talking about, it is a whole different subject if they were good at what they did or not and what they are talking about.

AA is telling people how to beat Iowa and it is something he never did, so how can he have 5 keys to beating the Hawks when he has no idea if any of them work?

Did you read what I said? Do you know anything about football? Tim Hasselbeck was not a good QB. He never started. Yet, he is on ESPN every day critiquing NFL STARTING QB's. And you know what, it's no big deal b/c he still knows 10X more about the position than me and you.

Herm Edwards was a terrible NFL coach. His teams never scored points and he took teams and ran them into the ground. Yet he is on ESPN every day talking about what this team should do and what that coach should do. And you know what? No big deal b/c he still knows more than you.

So same with Arnaud, while he never beat Iowa or even played well against Iowa...he still knows more about the game than you guys ever will and is more qualified to talk about the game.

Just like Kyle McCann would be to talk about the ISU game even though I am pretty sure Kyle never beat ISU either

Please tell me you think Herm Edwards' opinions/thoughts on football are at the same level as an ex-ISU quarterback.

Calm down, deep breaths. Everything is going to be fine soon...

Re: AA's Keys

Most of the time I tell myself it isn't possible to hate these clown fans more than I already do.

Then Clown week rolls around and I'm proven wrong once again...

ISU fans DESERVE to go 0-12 each year. You've earned it.

Dude settle down, I never said I knew more about football than AA, in fact I don't, except I do know you don't throw the ball to the team with a different colored jersey.

Anyway I was just saying how can he have 5 keys to beating a team he never beat? That is like me saying here are the 5 keys to winning the lottery when I haven't won the lottery.

That's what I said (rolls eyes)

It's all relative. AA is giving his opinion on something that he knows well. Herm Edwards is giving his opinion on something he knows well. Neither were successful but that doesn't mean they don't know what they are talking about

I see 2 options here.

The 5 keys may look like this.....
1. pick the right numbers
2. steal the winning lottery ticket
3. be clairvoyant
4. pick the right numbers
5. pick the right numbers

or the shorter method to riches may have these keys...

1. buy lottery ticket
2. randomly choose numbers
3.
4. profit

Well, first of all, Edwards sucks on ESPN also, so that weakens your argument a little.

Yes, as a former college QB, Arnaud has the background to give meaningful thoughts on the game. But c'mon, admit it, it's a little funny to see that headline on CF.
