I concur. I stated in a thread in the football forum that I actually really feel bad for them & it would suck as a fan. I actually want ISU to stay healthy & in a legitimate conference. I think it will all work out in the end, somehow.

Interesting. Good find. Getting rid of Dan Beebe is a no-brainer. He did nothing to advance that conference, at all. He didn't lock down a nice TV contract quick enough & worse, he gave into Texas way too easy.

I thought OK & OK St were going to be as good as gone. If they can keep those two, they may be able to patch up that conference. It's funny, because, now OK is tinkering with trying to get their own network. It all pretty much hinges on if they can reign in Texas a bit. If they can't, than OK says see ya!

I've never understood how he's managed to keep his job for this long. He was quiet while CU and NU were on their way out. It appeared that he just sat back it watched it all happen while he collected paychecks for doing nothing to change minds. He reminds me of the NCAA while all of this stuff goes down.

Right now the Big 12 is some odd combination of everything that went down in order to kill Rasputin and Blackbeard.

I just want Iowa State to end its relationship with the U of Texas. It is an institution that has, does, and will always put itself before others. There is no corralling Bevo. ISU has an opportunity to be part of a realignment that could lead to a more stable situation. It should take it.

I'm not sure an ultimatum given to Texas about coexisting as an equal will be accepted. If Oklahoma can't achieve that goal and walks then the old Big 12 North needs to have the courage to walk. Between Missouri, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State and Baylor you have a majority of the remaining 9 schools and can dictate the terms.
