Let me apologize on behalf of us Hawkeye fans who aren't toolsheds, like some of the ones posting in the Leonard Johnson thread. It sucks to see any athlete get hurt in any situation, because when it comes right down to it they are just kids, playing a game, so fat and past-our-prime guys like you and I can watch and enjoy.

We all know that sometimes we all make stupid, flaming comments in threads to prove how much "we" love "our" respective teams; however when we fail to realize that LJ is a human-being first, and a Cyclone second, it is quite sad.

I enjoy the playful banter between the 2 fanbases, and I wish no ill-will towards Iowa State. At least you aren't Nebraska

Anyhow, I just wanted to get that off my chest, because it is pretty sad to see people wish harm on an opposing team member (especially on an internet message board), and remember.. GO HAWKS!

P.S. Flame away "Hawkeye Fan, Cyclone Bashers".. could(n't) care less.

Agree. There is really no reason to bash Iowa State. A lot of great Iowa kids play for their team. I love it when both programs are winning (it doesn't happen very often, frankly).

I hope both teams get to at least 6 wins and go bowling. I think they will....

I don't believe anybody likes to see anyone get hurt...so you don't have to apologize for the Hawk fan base...if it makes you feel good, you can apologize for yourself though. It is an internet board...

I don't wish any harm to any players, but I certainly am not going to kiss their a$$ and get on my knees and apologize the clowns...I hope they lose every game they play. Hell, I wouldn't even mind seeing the big 12 collapse and watch their program fall apart.

No need to apologize OP. I know everybase, ours included, have classless individuals. Thanks for the post though. You are right, it is just a game and we need to remember these guys are just kids playing

Agree fully with OP. I absolutely love running smack to the clone fans on this board, but never want to see any player on any team injured. Anyone who disagrees completely lacks any sort of sense.

I agree with the OP, my brother-in-law played DT for ISU under McCarney. The last ISU game I went to was when in Arrowhead vs Florida State, great game!

(I thought Wallace was in on that touchdown dive over the pilon.)
