Really? Okay I will bite, It's Michigan and they are undefeated at 4-0. Hope that helps.

I know that....but in past years they are given top 25 or maybe top 20, but #11 is crazy...especially since they still have no defense and Denard Robinson cannot play QB.

same reason west virgina is in the top 20 - they score a ton of points and the media loves that

Mmm they are Michigan and the sports media loves certain teams. Michigan will meet one of the real contenders and get smacked down.

Re: How is Michigan #11?

Because they are undefeated and rolling up big points which the media loves. Until somebody smacks them around and gives them a big loss they will get love because they are Michigan. Besides they need a replacement for OSU sucking it up this year. Even a close loss on the road and they won't drop much. I would have to say however and this has been true since he took the reins, if Dennard gets hurt, Michigan is up a creek without a paddle.

Michigan is still a big name in football so it does not surprise me they are ranked that high.

Re: How is Michigan #11?

I don't really see any team that I'm outraged is behind them, they are 6-0 got explosive playmaker at QB(pretty important in cfb). Find out little more about them this weekend.

I mean who do you think should be ranked above them Illinois/K-state??? I could probably buy G-tech, but thats all I really see.

Welcome to 2 weeks ago. They are 6-0. And they play in the B1G in a terrible year. Illinois will get exposed soon and Wisconsin is the only other good team.Wouldn't be surprised to see Michigan go 10-2 or 9-3 this year.

+1

The media/voters want them to be relevent.

And in the same context...so should we. We need 4-5 "big name" successful schools at the front of the league. It helps in every aspect.

And my top 4, who need to be relevant, in no order, are Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State, and I'm on the fence with Wisconsin.

Every other team, if not relevant, doesn't hurt the league. Yeah, and sorry, Iowa doesn't need to be relevant on a national scale to sustain the league.

If they look awful I'd hate to see what your description of the Hawks is considering we already have two losses. I actually thought Michigan looked pretty good against NW last week. (especially in the 2nd half)

I don't think Michigan is a top 15 team yet but if there defense keeps improving they could be by the end of the season.

Re: How is Michigan #11?

Because they beat Notre Lame early on. Think of it as a top 25 booster seat.
