Strength of Basketball Players

I've been seeing over on cyclonefanatic that Royce White recently put up 28 reps of 185 for bench press and is expected to hit 30 before the season starts. The NBA predraft camp record is 27. I'm posting this here because i'm curious where the Iowa basketball team weighs in?

That probably helped when he was beating up mall cops and stealing things from dorm rooms.

Re: Strength of Basketball Players

Nowhere close to that. Basketball players aren't typically known for being incredibly strong. While being big certainly helps a post out, and strong guards are able to finish better, being overly strong doesn't really matter as much in basketball, especially compared to other sports. If White gets too big, he's not going to be able to shoot the ball anymore.

Yeah, remember when Kevin Durant couldn't even do it once at his predraft workout. He seems to do alright.
