Great football game. Playing to win pays off..maybe not $70,000 a week like playing not to lose does down in Iowa City...but it looks good on the scoreboard.

Iowa State deserves all the credit for coming back from a 24-7 deficit against the No. 2, undefeated national title contenders. Marvelous play-calling most of the night, a tremendous defensive effort, and poise at the key moments.

It was fun to watch a team -- coaches and all -- "all in" and showing some emotion and energy. This is college football, not library science. I wish the folks in Iowa City would wake up to that reality. Really, Kirk would make a fabulous librarian, but they don't hand out $70,000 a week for sushing those who might let out a loud smile at a clever line from Alexander Pope.

So Iowa will do what it does at Purdue. We'll see how that turns out...

I noticed ISU officials did not seem to concerned with the fans rushing the field.......ISU is not putting a lid on their excitement........

I would rather be a fan of a winless Iowa team than an Undefeated ISU program....ISU cannot lose by enough...my remark going into OT was "The worst thing is if ISU does lose....they will only lose by one score"

How am I a terrible fan....I don't get people getting all sentimental and being like "I love to see ISU do well when we don't play"....why....we compete against them in recruiting.

No school is going to prevent fans from rushing the field after an upset over a team ranked in the top ten. The same thing would happen (and has happened) at Kinnick.
