I'm impressed with UNI. They play smart and don't turn it over, and can shoot the three.

ISU has major issues with defense and rebounding.

ISU and Iowa both have similar issues - can't defend and have no continuity on offense.

Saw the clowns for the first time tonight. Pretty much what I expected based on what I'd been hearing.
Lots of physical ability...not a lot of basketball smarts.

Yep. In all honesty, I think ISU's talent is better and they have a chance to right the ship, but there are a lot of disparate parts out there, and it may not happen.

There will be nights where they are making threes where they will look pretty good, but definitely nights like tonight where a disciplined team like UNI beats them like a drum.

And, yes, as noted above, rebounding is bad for both teams.

Neither program has made significant movements forward in year two.

You forgot the 3rd and probably biggest major issue and that is coaching.

It is clear now that Hoiberg didn't coach this team last year but Lutz did. I do think FH can become a good coach, but for the next few years ISU fans are going to have to put up with him learning on the job and take the negatives that go with that.
