I am not an insider, it's just gossip. But from my perspective, where there is smoke there often times is fire.

74H- Agree, I've heard and read the same thing. And really, that makes sense in a way. I grew up as a kid during the Tom Osborne years. Started paying attention to college football in general and, as I lived in western Iowa, Husker news in specific during the IM Hipp/ Barney Cotton era. Obviously kept track of the team from there and while I understand why Coach Osborne hired Bo to breathe much needed life into your program after the Pederson/ Callahan era, Bo is about as far away from Tom Osborne as a coach as one could be. TO and Kirk Ferentz, as persons, are cut of the same cloth. I don't think Tom has been to pleased with Bo's approach in many ways and he'd love to find the right combination of coach and person that would not only lead the teams to organized fundamental football, but to wins via that system, and be someone he'd be pleased to see on TV on the sidelines during the games. Not sure who that is, you'd have a better guess than me, but Bo's no TO.
