I think this is a sign of a couple things. I know that Herman was a little bothered that his contract had not be extended by Rhoads and was up at the end of the year. Now Herman gets to go and learn under Urban Meyer who may be the brightest offensive mind in college football at a great University. Rhoads is a great coach but he is defensive minded. Plus Ohio State looks good on a resume
Great Get, Wants to be a buckeye, the next level is here, he just couldn't say no to Urban Meyer, he has already played in the Big House in Ames, stepping stone to another great spot,
Herman had his best scoring offense at ISU this year at 23 ppg. The average in the Big 12 was 35. Every coach that came in with Rhoads had a 3 year deal. They have all been renewed except one. Hermans. MY guess is he went to Rhoads and told him he had an offer and Rhoads said take it.
