Myck Kabongo is a stud point guard and Brown is one of the best shooting guards in the country. They have lost to Missouri (#4 in the country) twice but played them tough both times. Close loss to Baylor (#6 team in the country), close loss to KU (#8 team in the country) and close losses to KSU and ISU who are both top 35-40 teams. I didn't say they weren't beatable, Iowa may be able to beat them at home but more than likely Texas would win.
Third, KSU plays very phsyical but they do more than just foul the hell out of you. They have a very good chance of making the tournament again this year. They are a much better team than Iowa. Of course Iowa could beat them. Upsets happen constantly in college basketball, but KSU is the better team and would win more times than they would lost to Iowa.
Iowa is obviously getting better but they are still likely not even an NIT team so talk of them being better than most of the teams in the big 12 is a little premature.

So you're whole justification of why Texas would be better than Iowa is because they lost close games to good teams? Since conference play has started, Texas has beaten the #40, #110, #143, and lost to the #3, #9, #12 (twice), #40, and #51. Iowa has lost to the #5, #6, #23, #54 (twice), and #95, while beating the #14, #19, #48 (twice), and #130. I think Iowa has shown just as much, if not more, than Texas that they had some early season losses that they would now win (Cambell, Clemson,UNI).
