You obviously didn't get it. HawkeyeMike is one of a kind. He's so bad he even gets banned on his own board. I would have loved to have seen him back pedal after all his terrible predictions the past year.
As for needing you to make us feel better, go check and see how many times I posted during this Iowa State season. I rarely did, if ever.

Re: Fred Hoiberg on NBA radar
Fred is not going anywhere anytime soon. One reporter tossing his name out there means little. Holy cow, Kirk Ferentz (at one time or another) was mentioned for every available opening in the NFL. Fred has a good situation going on. He really is God in Ames and he has the program headed in the right direction.
No idea if coaching in the NBA has been a dream of his ... If it is ... well ... Fred is still young and can eventually consider making that leap but I don't see it happening anytime soon.
Heck, he has only been in Ames for two years. Don't see it at all.

Re: Fred Hoiberg on NBA radar
Let's play guess the quote:
$20 bucks he doesn't average 15? Easiest money I'll ever make bud. Diante Garrett doesn't have the offensive game of Chris Allen and he scored 17 this past year. I'm tempted to make the bet on 20 a game.
Guess Who?

Re: Fred Hoiberg on NBA radar
Another gem from that thread:
Have any of you actually seen Chris Allen play? He's not a pg, he's a spot up shooter. I don't know if you think the B12 is that much easier than B10 or what, but if you're counting on Allen to be able to create shots and get to the hoop at will, you're going to be let down. All of your B10 guard transfers had the benefit of playing with excellent pgs who took a lot of defensive pressure off of them.
Chris Allen will not average 20 ppg, I will bet whatever you want on that. You know how Only 17 guards in the entire NCAA averaged 20 ppg last season. DG, averaged what, 17 ppg? And that was playing basically 40 mins a game, having the ball in his hands all the time and getting lots of garbage points at the end of games.
Iowa St will be much more successful if Allen averages in the 12-13 ppg range, which I'm sure he will.
Well that sounds about dead on, who could have possibly said that. Must be someone with a lack of knowledge on sports, right Clone17?

Re: Fred Hoiberg on NBA radar
And here's another one for you 17, tell me again how I was wrong? From 3/11/2011:
Again I think having these guys all sitting out this year together will be a huge benefit to ISU. It's not like he's bringing in a bunch of cocky freshman who aren't used to the college game. All these guys have already been practicing for a year at ISU, Hoiberg has already coached them. I don't think Hoiberg will have any problem coaching them, however I do think a lot of ISU fans are greatly overestimating the skill level of the transfers. I think White could be a very very good player, but Allen and Babb are solid guards but neither of them will be elite B12 players like so many Cyclone fans think.

Quit picking on 17. If this board was a barrel he'd be the fish. He can't help it.

Re: Fred Hoiberg on NBA radar
Ok, this is the last one of my predictions for you 17. From 7/23/11:
I thought we were talking about ISU? Iowa St will take a huge step forward in their talent level next season compared to the last few years, it still will only put them in the middle of the B12 talent wise. Babb, Allen and Christopherson are all solid guards B12 but none of them are elite. Ejim is an average B12 forward, Booker was an average at best player in the MVC. White is the wild card, I think he might be one of the best players in the B12 next year.
