Seriously, I have no idea why they call Iowa fans and the UofI hicks and trailer trash. I grew up in central west Iowa and my god the difference between Eastern Iowa and Western is night and day. Their fan base consists of probably 60% hicks and actual rednecks. Iowa City is extremely liberal compared to Ames.

I've said it once and I'll say it again...Iowa State is one of a handful of universities that can't grasp the fact that every other popular university in the country has more "tavern" fans than "alumni" fans...they also don't understand that their last tiny shred of false dignity is being sabotaged by their own A.D. constantly trying to recruit "tavern" Clones with his multiple ad campaigns, road side signs and whatnot...

The irony of it all, they say Hawk fans are "arrogant"...have you ever met a Clone fan who isn't???

True true true. Who, exactly, do they think Notre Dame fans are? Texas Fans? Michigan or OSU fans? Alabama, Oklahoma, or Florida fans?

ISU fans are just p*ssed because they find themselves in the same position with Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Tennessee Tech, and Louisiana-Monroe fans: only those that actually pass through those university gates get cursed with the eternal damnation of following those programs.

Look'y here................per the U.S. News & World Reppot, two of the top 3 ag schools are ranked as high or higher isu are in the BIG. The BIG is
tied with the SEC for the most schools in the top ten rankings.

Best overall rankings for engineering university have 3 BIG schools, Purdue, Illinois, and Michigan ranked in the top ten; isu is not ranked for overall engineering.
