By and large I thought we looked pretty good today outside of Ballweg. Please tell me there is someone else there. I'm sure he's a nice kid but a close match against Cornell and losses to Baker and ICCC are not good indications of the Big 10 schedule. Carew?

Nope, he wrestled 197. Truthfully, I didn't think he looked to bad either for it being his first match of the year AND up a weight. I thought all the Hawks looked great, save Ballweg. Telford and Evans were the highlights for me today. Both were physical, aggressive and smooth. I can't believe Telford...he's slick with his shots, looks like a light weight guy. Evans was a HAMMER. You could hear guys grunting in pain with him on top!

Evans and Telford looked seasoned, impressive. Ramos had a nice fall and a takedown clinic. DSJ dominated just hammering his opponents awesome control there. Lofthouse taught wrestling 101. Lira went 1-1 losing a close match, thought he should of won. Fahler convincingly major'd. Montell looked pretty slick out there. McD was his normal freight train self. Wagner looked pretty aggressive scoring 21 points. Grant got a match in and threw his weight around really well.
Man we got some hammers this year!
Another good start with the Iowa Duals. The Hawks won every match last year but competition was stiffer this year. ICCC looked like a top 20-25 D1 team.
Baker performed well as a Newer team.
grats on 100 Mr Brands
In January the Hawks have a lot going on this is a great time to get all access imo. Thick of the season.
