I am going to try to go the meet, but in case I cant get there, is there TV coverage? I was on Hawkeye Sports - University of Iowa Official Athletic Site, and it said TV for Ill and UNI but not ISU..

Am I missing the obvious? THanks in advance.

You can watch it online if you pay for the service. I don't think it's on tv unless it's local.

Mediacom connections channel 22 will cover it in Iowa if you have Mediacom for a carrier or know someone who does.

thanks fulsaasfan, i looked it up last night expecting it to be on btn and nothing. atleast i have mediacom and can get 22. Lets go hawks.

So why did IPTV stop doing this dual? While not always great production, it was something you could count on getting everywhere. Now, less than 1/3 of the state has access to it. Kinda frustrating even in a year where it won't be competative.

Mediacom is getting there *** kicked by dishes and is buying Iowa and ISU events to try and get customers back.

Exactly! Completely ridiculous that the majority of Iowa can't view this meet on IOWA Public Television. Mediacom was trash ten years ago when I was in college, and they still manage to find a way to **** me off today!

Jeez, IPTV was doing the big matches like this for years when college wrestling was amongst the missing EVERYWHERE else. IPTV is in the midst of their annual fund drive which I have always supported and still do. When I contributed I always mentioned the wrestling coverage. The extreme right is trying to kill public TV because it is not "fair and balanced" with their definition of fair and balanced being Fox News. Sorry, I didn't intend my post to become a political rant, just somewhat an explanation of the absence or Hawkeye wrestling on IPTV. Perhaps if enough of us e-mail IPTV with our requests of resuming more wrestling coverage again. (Never mind the politics, just the wrestling)

Thanks for the explanation. Atleast someone on these boards has some common sense. I was wondering why the match was only being carried by channel 22, Hawkeyesports.com, and Big10Direct and now I know.

But just to make sure I have it straight, the extreme right, along with Fox News and their journalistic standards, are conspiring against public television, because they deem it UN-fair and UN-balanaced, AND their (admittedly clever) way of destroying public television is to somehow get IPTV to not cover the Iowa/ISU match this Sunday. It all makes sense now.
