1st round submission win. Showed off a nice high crotch, but got a little out of control. Needs to protect his neck a little better in the future. He will do some big things in the future in MMA.

Did he show any type of stand up? I think he can be good if he learns to use his fists to set up his take down.

His striking looked not half bad for this stage of his career. He was definitely swinging with the intention of setting up the takedown, and looked like he was rather comfortable doing for being so fresh into the game. The only criticism I could give after the fight is that he didn't seem to be integrating submission defense into his wrestling. If he keeps leaving his neck out, he is gonna get into trouble.

Yeah, that just takes time. You wrestle your whole life shooting for the takedown with your head up.

Crazy how you don't see to many Hawks going into MMA. Biggest mistake most wrestlers make is the stand-up. You can see how it start to hurt Matt Hughes once the sport became more mainstream.
