David Taylor named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week
Penn State Nittany Lion wrestler David Taylor (St. Paris, Ohio) has been named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week for the week ending Jan. 2, 2012. The honor is the first for the Nittany Lion sophomore.

Taylor, the 2011 Big Ten Wrestler of the Year and Big Ten Rookie of the Year, got the nod for a 5-0 run to the 165 pound Southern Scuffle title. Taylor posted three pins, a tech fall and a major and improved to 14-0 on the year. He majored #20 Kyle Blevins of Appalachian State in the semifinals before pinning Big Ten rival Cody Yohn, ranked #10, at the 2:34 mark in the championship finals. Taylor was named the 2012 Southern Scuffle Most Outstanding Wrestler and was one of four Penn State individual champions.

David Taylor is like Tim Tebow to me. Great at what they do but talked about way to much!

if you don't like david taylor thats fine but i am a fan of the whole sport so I try to keep this board as active as possible and to do so in this sport you have to post whats going on in all aspects from AAU to International to beach wrestling

Turkey, you need to ease up. Who cares if he posts about Taylor - it's relevant. We have to wrestle him, he stands in our way to Nationals and wrestles for our arch rival. He's nothing like Tebow. Tebow is a horrible NFL QB. Taylor is a phenomenal wrestler, great in all aspects of the sport. I'll be surprised if he doesn't win 3 National Titles.

I hate him but you have to respect him.

I visit quite a few wrestling sites with many of them having giant love fest topics about David Taylor. Its nice to have an Iowa wrestling topics board only so i dont have to get constantly reminded on how great Taylor is.

no this is in the wrestling forum but its about the BIG TEN so thats why it is posted. trust me there isn't a love fest for david taylor on this forum it is 90% about iowa wrestling at all levels and sometimes i'll post articles so people have some reading to do while their at work that is all.
