Re: Disturbing--Another High School Hazing Issue
It's pathetic when some people were saying they wished they had remained quiet about it. What a joke. They care more about perception than about treating all people with respect.

Re: Disturbing--Another High School Hazing Issue
Why is this almost always a wrestling thing. I've never seen an instance of a hs bball team shoving things up someone's *** for having.

It's not just wrestling. It's all over. Google ookie cookie in the recent news. That was basketball and it's just freaking disgusting. Then google Florida A&M band hazing. Members of that band (a marching band for crying out loud) were beaten until bones were broken and one young man was beaten to death.
There's a lot of lord of the flies going on. It's all over the place.

Re: Disturbing--Another High School Hazing Issue
If something like this had happened to me back in high school I'm walking back into that locker room the next day with a gun. Seriously? Sodomizing a kid with a jump rope? WTF?

Especially with the stereotypes out there regarding wrestling. You would think they, of all people, would stay away from inserting things into that region. Very bizarre.

The band is the most dangerous of all. Some of those tuba players can be downright mean.

The ookie cookie thing is just some idiots who don't know how the ookie cookie gag works. You're supposed to get your hazees in a dark room in a circle surrounding a cookie, you tell them the last one to "finish" has to eat the cookie - you leave the room (pitch black) for 10 seconds and burst back in to see who was dumb enough to whip it out. Those guys are either gay (as they would willingly eat something that gross) or too gullible to be in the group so you bounce them out after forcing them to endure several hours of ridicule.
The kids today are so dumb they took the ookie cookie thing literally. Tebow help us.

Re: Disturbing--Another High School Hazing Issue
Unfortunately I think crud like this has always happened ... The difference now is the 24/7 news cycle ... and cell phones, tweets, etc. Something is definitely (seriously) wrong in the heads of these kids who carry out such hateful and spiteful actions. This is not a 'kids will be kids' situation. This is kids with some serious mental health issues. And given this is a podunk Iowa town I am sure the residents don't know how in the he** to react ... I am sure everyone from Floyd the Barber to the school superintendent (who also sells insurance on the side) ... to the parents ... have their opinions ... And sweeping it under the rug, my guess, will be the first preference. Since the big-time media (i.e. KCCI) picked up on this and is doing an 'investigative' story (note sarcasm here) I am guessing the school board (Floyd the Barber and the superintendent) will be foreced to suspend or even dismiss one of two of the wrestlers ...
I say an 'eye for an eye' or ... an 'a** for an a** in this case and let them have some of their own medicine.

A gun?? Aw Jeez norwalk, A high school kid taking a gun to school? With the intent to kill another kid? I'm not defending the bullies who do this sort of thing, and they deserve to be severely punished, but your kind of statement is just encouraging that kind of thing that results in terrible activity. Your intent to be "macho" is pathetic!

You're talking about the mental mindset of a teenager who just got sodomized with the handle of a ******* jump rope. I would really like to now how you would feel or what is running through your mind during and after getting violated up your poop shoot with inanimate objects. Kids have flipped out and shot up schools for reasons far more subtle than this.

You are just digging yourself into a deeper hole. You are correct that "some kids have flipped out and shot up schools for reasons far more subtle than this." And for an adult like you to advocate, and justify, shooting up a school because of any type of bullying is inexcusable. You are really trying to justify shooting up a school? Certainly sounds like it.

Seriously? Get off your horse. I've never been in a situation like that but if you want to know how I would feel if I went back to when I was 15 years old and on the receiving end of that, I guarantee you it would have went through my mind. I got bullied in high school, and that was just simple ****, and it still was tough on me. I couldn't imagine in my wildest nightmares how bad something like this had to feel. As an adult, do I justify it, no. Going back 16 years ago and thinking about it in my teenage shoes, that's a different story.
