Note from Jon Miller:
My family and I would like to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas. We are taking the time to celebrate the reason for the season and I am sure many of you are as well.
It’s been one of the most eventful years of my life, with the birth of our second child, Mary, back in March. Let’s see, Grace was born in 2002, an Orange Bowl year, and Mary was born in 2009, an Orange Bowl year!
Combine that with the move to take HawkeyeNation.com back to being a free site as well as being an independent site, and the challenges, opportunities and excitement that surrounded that move, plus one of the most exciting seasons in Iowa football history, it’s been a whirlwind.
My family and I would like to thank each of you for visiting this site and making it a part of your daily Iowa Hawkeye online experience. It means a lot to us for a variety of reasons, and we cannot thank you enough for your time and contributions to the site. That includes those of you that post on the message boards and those that just like to sit back and silently read all that takes place.
2010 will be another great year. The Iowa Wrestling team will go for their third straight national championship in March and the Iowa football team will likely be a preseason Top 10 program this coming year. The home schedule of Iowa State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan State and Penn State could be one of the best in years, and the Hawkeyes will make another run for the Roses.
We will begin to write and comment on the 2010 football season the minute the Orange Bowl concludes and we hope to help plug you in to the landscape that will face Iowa next year, right away.
So thanks again, and have safe travels and pause to count the blessings in your own lives, as I am sure you will.
Best Regards,
Jon, Andrea, Grace & Mary Miller
