Grant Gibbs Seeks Release from Gonzaga

Former Linn-Mar star guard Grant Gibbs will be seeking his release from Gonzaga, a person with close connections to the situation told Hawkeyenation.com on Wednesday.

Gibbs may be looking at returning to play closer to home; Iowa, Iowa State, Creighton and UNI are reportedly some of the schools he may look into. Greg McDermott recruited Gibbs two years ago while he was head coach at Iowa State, and the Cyclones were one of the finalists for Gibbs. McDermott is now at Creighton.

Gibbs was a first team all state performer at Linn-Mar but had his senior season curtailed due to a broken leg.
