Season Stats Thru 17 games

The Iowa Hawkeyes beat Tennessee State 67-62 on Tuesday night in a rare midseason non conference matchup.  Iowa had lost four straight conference games to start that portion of their schedule, and they will not likely be favored again this season.  But for at least one night, the players were able to enjoy the fruits of their efforts with a win.

Aaron Fuller scored a career best 24 points on 10-15 shooting, and he also grabbed a team high 10 rebounds.  Matt Gatens scored 12 while Cully Payne added 11, and the two guards combined to record nine assists.

Iowa won the rebounding battle 32-28, but had 15 turnovers to just 13 for TSU.  Iowa was a crisp 14-17 from the foul line but shot just 7-21 from three point range.
