McCaffery Lands Aaron White

The Iowa basketball program picked up their second commitment in the past week when Aaron White announced on his facebook page that he had committed to Iowa on Monday.

He is a 6-8 forward with some ball handling skill from Strongsville, Ohio and he selected Iowa over offers from Akron and Duquesne. He was a 20 & 10 player (points and rebounds) a year ago and is considered a ‘rising’ senior. That’s a way of saying that he had attracted some looks from high major programs this summer and that had he waited around until the spring, after his senior season, he might have garnered more recruiting attention. However, he chose to end the recruiting process now and verbal to the Hawkeyes. He can sign a letter of intent next month, along with Josh Ogelsby, who committed to Iowa last week.
