Saturday was a busy day in Hawkeye corners…below is a list of links we were able to find related to the Black and Gold…

Hawks Land Hubbard, Risks | These are some thoughts Jon Miller put down on ‘paper’ related to Anthony Hubbard’s commitment to Iowa. Hubbard Q&A | Rob Howe of HawkeyeInsider.com offers up this Q&A with Hubbard from Saturday, shortly after he committed to Iowa.

Hubbard Embraces Second Chance | This is an exceptional look at where Hubbard has been, how he landed in prison and what he has done with his life since then. It was written last week, before his commitment to Iowa.

Hubbard Hometown Write Up | On his commitment…In this article comes this quote from Hubbard, who is now 26 years old and whose bad choices are eight years in his past: “A mistake is a mistake if you don’t learn from it. If you learn from it, it becomes a lesson.”

Hubbard Can Be a Game Changer | This from the Press Citizen, as they spoke with Basketball Analyst Van Coleman. ““The biggest thing is he adds a dimension to them offensively that they have not had,” recruiting analyst Van Coleman said of the 6-foot-5, 215-pound Hubbard. “Late in the game they need a guy who on the wing can break people down and score either with the jump shot or with the dribble drive and finish. He’s the kind of guy that can do that. He’s a playmaker, somebody who can make big plays and can be a game changer.”
