An Early Look-Ahead to 2019-20 Big Ten Basketball

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Big Ten took a step forward this season, sending eight of its 14 teams to the NCAA Tournament. That doubled the total from the previous year.

Michigan State reached the Final Four by knocking off top-seeded Duke. The Spartans will be shooting for the league’s first national title since they won it in 2000.

The conference will be looking to build on this winter’s success in ’19-20. Like all teams in college basketball, there will be departures and arrivals.

Let’s take a look at how things shape up (this feature will be updating as players come and go):

ILLINOIS

Gone – Aaron Jordan.

Possibly Gone – None.

Key Players Likely Back – Trent Frazier, Kipper Nichols, Giorgi Bezhanishvili, Andres Feliz, Ayo Dosunmu.
