HN TV: Fran McCaffery Selection Sunday Press Conference

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa returned to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2016 when it was selected to the field Sunday afternoon. The 10th-seeded Hawkeyes were set to play No. 7 Cincinnati on Friday in Columbus, Ohio.

After the announcement, Iowa coach Fran McCaffery met with the media here at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

“We’re just really thrilled for our players, the hard work they put in in the offseason and the preseason and what they’ve accomplished; tremendous body of work rewarded by the selection committee and we’re anxious to play on Friday,” he said.
