HN TV: Lisa Bluder Preparing Hawkeyes to Fly Higher

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The Iowa women’s basketball team set an attendance record last weekend at Carver-Hawkeye Arena while winning two games and advancing to the Sweet 16. It represented the seventh time in program history that the program advanced this far.

The Hawkeyes aren’t satisfied.

Coach Lisa Bluder sees a team practicing this week like it means business. It faces N.C. State Saturday (10:30 a.m., ESPN) in Greensboro.

A win sends Iowa to the Elite Eight for just fourth time and it’s first appearance there since 1993. A win would tie the ’87-88 Hawkeyes for the most in a season (29).
