IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa coach Lisa Bluder called Saturday’s showdown with N.C. State in the Sweet 16 an even matchup. It’s what you would expect when second and third seeds meet in a regional.

The Wolfpack (27-5) will be playing close to home and in a familiar environment. The Greensboro (NC) Coliseum Complex sits 80 miles from its campus and is the location where the ACC Tournament is contested annually.

It also will be an early wakeup call for the Hawkeyes (28-6). The game is scheduled to tip off at 10:30 a.m. CT on ESPN.

N.C. State prefers a slower pace of play than Iowa and relies more on the three-point shot. It also boasts a formidable post player in 6-5 freshman Elissa Cunane to match up with Hawkeye standout Megan Gustafson.
