Tyler Cook Earns Invite to NBA Draft Combine

A strong performance at the G League Elite Camp in Chicago earned former Iowa power forward Tyler Cook an invitation into this week’s NBA Draft Combine in the same city, according to Draft Express.

During the Monday and Tuesday scrimmages, the Hawkeye standout shot 10 of 11 from the floor, 4 of 6 from the line, scoring 24 points in about 37 minutes. The St. Louis product grabbed five rebounds and a steal, and committed eight fouls and two turnovers.

Cook played three seasons at Iowa. He earned second-team all-Big Ten honors last winter after leading the Hawkeyes in scoring (14.5 PPG) and rebounds (7.6 RPG).

The combine includes scrimmage games along with shooting and strength and agility drills on Thursday and Friday at Quest Multisport in Chicago.  ESPN 2 will cover both days from 2-6 p.m. CT.

Roughly 70 players were invited to the combine. Cook emerged with nine other players among the 80 that were brought in for the G League Elite Camp.
