Another Talented Group Expected for Hawkeye Junior Day
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Iowa will play host to a large and talented group of recruits this weekend for its second junior day of the year. The Hawkeyes are hoping they can add to their collection of commitments in the 2019 class and beyond.
Two of Iowa’s three junior pledges are expected in town. Norwalk (IA) High offensive lineman Tyler Endres and Logan Lee, a tight end from Orion (IL) High, will be helping the coaches in making other prospects feel comfortable during Sunday’s event.
David Bell returns to campus for the first time since visiting for the Michigan game in ’16. The Indianapolis Warren Central receiver is one of the most sought-after prospects in the Midwest, reporting scholarship offers from, among others, Ohio State, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State.
The four-star will be joined by prep teammate Justin Britt, an offensive lineman who has visited the Hawkeyes several times. He also claims offers from Indiana, Louisville, Michigan State, Missouri, Minnsota and Purdue.
Iowa signed Warren Central defensive back Julius Brents in the ’18 recruiting class. He’s spoken to Bell and Britt about joining him in Iowa City.
Two more Indianapolis area athletes with offers are planning on attending. Juniors Larry Tracy and Bryce Kirtz hail from Decatur Central and Brownsburg, respectively.
Tracy’s name should sound familiar to Hawkeye recruiting followers. He’s on the open market after committing to Iowa last summer and then backing away from the pledge in late January. It’s still well position with the cornerback as evidenced by this visit and him being the cousin of ’18 signee Tyrone Tracy.
Kirtz plays for the same high school that sent Iowa Toks Akinribade. The talented receiver also reports offers from Boston College, Cincinnati, Duke, Indiana, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Purdue and Syracuse.

Some of the visitors not yet holding a Hawkeye offer can expect to pick one up at this stop. The coaches often like to get the prospects and their families on campus first before extending those opportunities.
