Iowa Head Coach Kirk Ferentz was a guest on Fox Sports Radio’s ‘Petros and Money’ show on Friday night. His comments sparked a debate late in the evening on whether or not Brandon Wegher had returned to practice this week.

Ferentz said this, when asked about Wegher’s status: “He came back and practiced a couple days and his heart wasn’t into it. We visited a couple times since. He is going to be in school, at least his intentions are to be in school this Monday and start classes. Being that this was the first Kirk had spoken with Petros and Money on the situation, I believe they were hearing the same things Kirk told the Iowa media six days prior, and that this is NOT a case of Wegher having come back to practice and left a second time. Petros even said, in the setup question to Ferentz, “Wegher is not currently with the team, what is his standing?”

That being said, it’s clear from Ferentz’s comments on 8/20 that Wegher is NOT back in practice nor with the team, and he believes it’s Wegher’s intention to start school on Monday…
