Here’s an Iowa Football/NFL Draft related Mashup for your reading pleasure…

RICKY STANZI:After the Insight Bowl and prior to taping an interview for the Big Ten Network, I asked Stanzi (off air) if he prefers to be called Rick or Ricky. “Ricky,” he said. “I don’t want to grow up any faster than I have to.”

Chiefs Take Stanzi | Arrowhead Pride Not a lot here, other than the poll; 93% of over 1000 Chiefs fans polled approve of the pick..that, and they listed Stanzi’s college coach as Rick Ferentz when I linked it.

Christian Ballard: The difference between where Ballard was projected to get drafted (2nd or 3rd round) and where he did get drafted (4th round) is a few million dollars…that NFL Combine positive test for marijuana really, really hurt him in the wallet.

Tyler Sash: Link to google news links on Sash. I wish the best for this kid, and all of the Hawkeyes. Sash left it all on the field at Iowa, and some of his health. I really hope he can stick around the league long enough to get that second contract. Most don’t, and that’s the harsh reality of professional football. He was drafted in the exact same position as former Hawkeye safety Matt Bowen, by the way.

Karl Klug: Click here for the Klug link dump. Klug is a motor guy, and he is going to have a shot at playing the five technique, or defensive end position in Tennessee’s 3-4 front. I think he has a chance to do well here, as he seems quick enough to play that spot.
