Indianapolis WR Tyrone Tracy Commits to Hawkeyes

Iowa picked up its fourth verbal commitment in the 2018 recruiting class Saturday when Indianapolis Decatur Central High receiver Tyrone Tracy announced his pledge to the Hawkeyes on a local radio station. He joined Illinois offensive lineman Jeff Jenkins, Iowa City West High linebacker Dillon Doyle and Wisconsin running back Henry Geil in the group.

Tracy (5-10.5, 183) performed at the Opening Chicago earlier this month. His SPARQ scoreof 113.76 ranked No. 13 of all participants, regardless of position.

We spoke to Tracy a few weeks ago. He broke down his three finalists – Iowa, Louisville and Northwestern.

Rivals, Scout and 247 all rank Tracy as a three-star prospect. Rivals sees him as the 10th best all-purpose running back nationally in the ’18 cycle. Scout shows him as the No. 37 athlete, while 247 places him as its No. 43 running back.
