Rodney Coe Commits to Iowa

The Iowa Hawkeyes have landed the Big One…Big in both literal and figurative terms.

Running back Rodney Coe confirmed via text to Rob Howe of HawkeyeInsider.com that he has verbally committed to the Hawkeyes.  Coe told this website earlier this week that Iowa was his likely destination.  You can read some of his comments there related to the Iowa coaching staff and Hawkeye opportunity.

Coe is a 6-3, 240-pound back from Illinois who is a punishing runner yet possesses excellent ball skills.  Check out his Scout.com profile here to see his numbers as well as the impressive list of offers Coe had racked up along the recruiting process.

Those offers included Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Florida, Oklahoma, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Michigan State and Wisconsin, to name a few.
