John Waggoner's recruitment has risen this winter, with offers from Michigan, Oregon and others. The in-state D-End visited Iowa Sunday and told HN the Hawkeyes are well positioned:

Iowa seems to have a track record with Dowling, but very little with Valley. I wonder why that is.

John said his father's name is Brian. He's no relation to the Waggoner that played at Iowa.

Is this the recruit that has a basketball court in his backyard?

Thanks Rob - I wondered as the guy I am thinking about was in my 'era' in the 80s so the timing certainly fit.

His dad is a doctor in Des Moines. ND will be a player if they offer.

Doesn't Florida have enough talent down south? Why the hell do they keep creeping in our backyard?

I want to use the obligatory Muck Fichigan, but for some reason, I'm having trouble doing this with Florida.

Not afraid, just don't understand why they would spend the money to even leave the south.

Because it works. And it makes their team better.

Both of those are debatable opinions at best.
