He is visiting Iowa septemper 7. He is a four star power forward from Nebraska. His dad was an all-American high jumper at the University of Minnesota.

Rob, any update on whether Nebraska is now showing interest?

I've not spoken to him since this article. I will check in with him as it gets closer to his visit.

When I did speak with him, he was pretty miffed that Nebraska hadn't shown any interest.

He has an offer from Nebraska according to Rivals and 247. Looks like July 15th per 247 timeline.

Yes he does. He also picked up NW and Stanford since my story.

Bummer. Fran always seems to be the friend zone at the end of the day with some of these high end recruits.

I hadn't felt bad about losing recruits to Stanford in the past, but after that Rose Bowl halftime show, I hope we see them on the court. I don't know when the football rematch will ever come, but I can't wait for that either.

This has to sting more for Hoiberg than us. You swing and miss a lot in basketball recruiting.

Exactly...great school doesn't hurt to have Stanford on the resume.

They made the Sweet 16 a few years ago. They also won the NIT in 2015, I think.

It's tough to recruit against Stanford in any sport, man.

Tremendous academic reputation and a beautiful west coast campus. Recruits and parents eyes light up out there.

It is difficult to imagine blaming a high school kid for choosing a scholarship and free ride to Stanford.
